Grayson

DNA tested as male, Grayson (formerly presumed to be a female known as 'Gracie') is a beautiful nine year-old yellow-shouldered Amazon. He was previously owned by an elderly woman who admitted that the bird preferred her adult son. Grayson is learning to be more accepting of the fairer sex, and he would like to be someone's BFF. Though he doesn't crave being held, he is quite interactive and likes to dance, talk and tell stories. He is also bright enough to have learned his slightly adapted name. Like most Amazons, Grayson has a wonderful appetite and enjoys a diet of pellets and deluxe seed mix, and birdie "fried" rice (see recipe at www.nattynewfeathers.com), and he has shown a fondness for unsalted roasted peanuts, pistachios and raw almonds as treats. Grayson will come with a cage he likes and which easily accommodates a playtop and multiple toys. ​Grayson's adoption fee is $450
