Jade

Jade is a young military macaw who was a bit of a "wild child" when she came into the program. She is continuing to learn how to trust hands, people and new environments in her new foster home. Jade has a good appetite and does well on a diet of fruits, vegetable, nuts and a macaw mix with nuts in shell and dried fruit. She seems to prefer women, but that may be based primarily on previous exposure. Jade wants to please, but doesn't know yet exactly how to go about it (she's learning that, too!) and she will need someone who knows macaws are more bluff than tough and has the patience and understanding to bring out her inner bird.
