Cheerio - Indian Ringneck

Cheerio is a Male Indian Ringneck who enjoys his independence. He doesn't need much human companionship to be happy but thoroughly enjoys watching what's going on around him. He likes being out of his cage and exploring, even gets along well with the other similar size birds at his foster home. Cheerio is very quiet and unassuming though true to his species, when startled, the flight reflex kicks in. He loves to step up for his humans but doesn't necessarily want to stay on your shoulder or hand for long periods. He has a gentle and sweet personality and gives wonderful kisses. If you are looking for a feathered companion who is just fine on his own, but will let you visit for short periods every day... Cheerio might be just what you're looking for. Recently Cheerio decided he didn't want to wear his feathers but now he's growing a whole new set. Cheerio eats well and enjoys the pellets, seed mix and fresh fruits and veggies at his foster home. Cherrio would do best in a home where he can have his own space and not be handled for long periods of time. He would probably really like to have a couple similar sized birds to hang with, as well as somewhere outside his cage he can watch the excitement of day to day life in his family.
