Zazu - African Ringneck

Zazu is a young, Male African Ringneck. Though we don't know much of his history it is apparent Zazu likes his independence. He doesn't appreciate too much human companionship but thoroughly enjoys watching what's going on around him. He likes being out of his cage and exploring, even gets along well with the other similar size birds at his foster home. Zazu is very quiet and unassuming though true to his species he is quite 'flighty' and startles easily. With some gentle encouragement he is open to stepping up for a few minutes every day and with continual perseverance he may one day enjoy riding on a shoulder or hanging out with his humans for longer periods of time. Zazu came to the rescue 'shirtless', but he has been working on his set of new 'feather' clothes and doing a very good job of it! A good little eater Zazu enjoys the pellet and seed mix at his foster home, he also likes checking out yummy fresh foods daily. Zazu would make a very nice addition to a bird family where he can watch what's going on from a distance, and maybe have a couple similar sized birds to hang with. Difficult to show in a photograph, but Zazu has a beautiful long tail! Zazu's Adoption Fee is $175 and includes his cage.
