Sammy - Derbyan Parakeet

Sammy is a young male Derbyan parakeet. The avian vet thinks he is under two years old. Sammy is a little shy, and takes some coaxing to step up, but does so after a little encouragement. When he came to SNPERRS he was a "wild child" and very frightened. Sammy is now becoming much more interactive with the loving help of his foster family. He really seems to want to be a part of things, and he enjoys time out of the cage on the playstand. He is also a very good little eater (fruits, veggies, pellets, etc.) and enjoys the occasional bath in his water dish with great enthusiasm! This young bird has so much to give and would be a beautiful additional family member to any home!​
​Sammy comes with a cage, and his adoption fee is $300.
